Project van GPR werd gewoon door Porsche zelf tegengehouden, net zoals die Cayman GT4. Bij Porsche zien ze niet graag zelfbouwraceauto's, maar houden ze de kampioenschappen liever gevuld met officiële auto's uit Weissach.
