Grand-am 2008
De zitjes in de Grand-am beginnen vol te lopen.
In 2008 zien we alvast 2 belgen in aktie.
Marc Goossens bij Riley-Matthews en Eric Van de Poele Bij Krohn racing.
Jan Heylen staat dicht bij een contract bij een Porsche team in de GT klasse.

Ganassi heeft ook hun line-up bekend gemaakt

Voeg er maar een naam van formaat aan toe, Penske gaat van start in de 24 uur van Daytona met de heren Briscoe, Helio Castroneves en Kurt Busch. Penske zal de tweede wagen runnen van Wayne Tayler/Suntrust. Soort van joint-venture. Bron: Autosport 06-12

Correctie: de Cadillacs werden in het Speed GT kampioenschap ingezet; in Grand-Am werd/wordt met Pontiacs geracet.

De nieuwe Lola GrandAm proto voor 2008:



Krohn racing heeft de eerste testen gedaan met het Lola chassis, die bijzonder goed zouden verlopen zijn. De GrandAm Dallara voor 2008 zou niet lang meer op zicht laten wachten.

Zonta heeft inmiddels de eerste Lola om zeep geholpen tijdens de testdagen, gevolg is dat Krohn met "oud materieel" van start zal gaan in de 24 uur. Lola zien we terug vanaf wedtrijd 2.

Daytona 24 op tv!
Eurosport2 zendt grote delen van de race uit! Om te beginnen om zaterdagavond begin van de avond (vanaf een uur of 19.00). Het complete schema is te raadplegen via eurosport.nl

Wordt in combinatie met de eerste GP2 Asia races dus het eerste drukke autosport tv weekendje van dit jaar!

Op de Porsche van Synergy waar hij de 24u van Daytona al reed.

Wat is er an de hand met het team van Jan Heylen ?
Ze hebben zich terug getrokken voor de race van dit weekend en volgende race worden de piloten vervangen door Patrick Long en David Murry.
Het heeft waarschijnlijk met de nieuwe sponsor te maken.
