k zal ook al maar meteen beginne met dit nieuws van op racing1.de

Häkkinen vor Comeback in der DTM

Die Testfahrten auf dem EuroSpeedway (racing1.de berichtete) haben ihn offenbar überzeugt: Der zweimalige Formel 1-Weltmeister Mika Häkkinen soll ab 2005 für Mercedes in der DTM fahren, berichtet die Zeitung „Bild" am Mittwoch.

Wie zal er plaats moeten maken bij Mercedes? Alesi, Paffet, Schneider of Albers?

Vraag me wel af of Hakkinen de juiste man is om de titel naar Mercedes te brengen.

Wie van de vier is dit jaar stout geweest? Schneider is een ikoon voor Mercedes, Alesi de lieveling van het publiek en Paffet the next big thing.

Ben ik ook bang voor. Als ik moest kiezen zou Alesi afvallen., die is naar mijn mening te wisselvallig.

Alesi heeft vorig jaar inderdaad zo goed als niks laten zien; zelfde geldt voor Schneider (buiten overwinning laatste wedstrijd), maar hij is inderdaad een DTM legende.

Ik volg dezelfde redenering. Alesi is te wisselvallig, maar blijft publicitair van goudwaarde (zeker voor de Franse markt), Schneider is als DTM-legende "untouchable" en Paffet is een wissel op de toekomst.
Blijft dus alleen nog maar Albers over. Voeg daarbij nog het feit dat hij in de slotraces van 2004 de woede van Norbert Haug over zich heen kreeg. Als Hakkinen naar Mercedes gaat, is het wel duidelijk wie er daar mag opstappen.

Vergeet ook niet dat DTM volgt naar jaar naar Avignon afzakt. Alesi heeft hiervoor geijverd. Ze kunnen hem moeilijk volgend jaar de laan uit sturen.

Zeer spijtig voor Alberts, vice-kampioen van vorig jaar en dit jaar ook bijna vice-kampioen geworden.

Hij heeft een contract t/m 2006. Het is goed mogelijk dat er 6 auto's ingezet gaan worden.

er is afgesproken tussen de teams om vanaf volgend jaar nog maar 4 nieuwe wagens per seizoen in te zetten.
