Ik heb van Yves Olivier (JB Motorsport) ook gehoord dat Heylen met iets groots van plan was. Als het ChampCar was dat Olivier bedoelde, dan is dat inderdaad iets groots.

25 year old Heylen from Belgium will test a Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Lola at the Sebring Raceway, Florida on December 12th 2005.

Jan Heylen: “This test is going to be great. I can’t wait to be racing single seaters again. I have to thank Eric Bachelart for this chance.

“ChampCar is growing stronger every year both competitively and commercially. My management team Goman, headed by Rick Gorne who has enjoyed success with Mark Gene, Anthony Davidson, Jean Alesi, Alex Zanardi, Gil de Ferran among others. Rick is pushing hard for an opportunity for me to race in the ChampCar World Series in 2006. It is nice to know that my abilities have been recognised with this offer of a test…”

Belgian based company Berghoff, who is one of the partners in this project are working hard to bring other partners on board to make the 2006 season a successful one.

Eric Bachelart, Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Co-owner, “I am looking forward to giving this opportunity to a fellow countryman, it is a great way for Jan to finish what has been a great season for him.”

In 2005 Jan competed in the Eurocup Mégane Trophy as part of the World Series by Renault event weekend. His dominant displays produced 6 wins, 4 pole positions. As well as his racing commitments he continued to be the development driver for the Mygale F3 car. Prior to the 2005 season Jan has competed in International F3000, Euroseries F3 and German F3 as well as winning the Formula Ford Festival and multiple National and International Karting titles.

En waar komt bovenstaand persbericht vandaan?

Goman Ltd. (het bedrijf van Rick Gorne) wil nog niets bevestigen en geeft aan dat er een persbericht volgt als alles echt rond is.

Het betrokken persbericht is vanmiddag rond een uur of 3 verstuurd, via Jan Heylen himself en via Renault België-Luxemburg.

Ik vermoed dat het allemaal redelijk betrouwbaar is.



Dus toch maar geloven, Stranger ...

Beter dubbel nagaan of het klopt dan op je bek gaan met een fout bericht.
Hoe vaak heeft de Nederlandse pers Verstappen niet ergens aangekondigd?

Ik ontving het bericht via RBL om 14u20'28". En via Jan Heylen om 15u16'07".

Wie doet beter?
