De "officiële" kalender zoals gepresenteerd door de FIA op 16 oktober jl.:
2007 FIA World Touring Car Championship 11 March BR Curitiba*** 15 April MEX Puebla*** 20 May E Valencia* 03 June F Pau** 17 June CZ Brno 08 July P Porto** 29 July TR Istanbul 02 September D Oschersleben 23 September GB Brands Hatch 07 October I Monza 18 November MO Macau *Pending the ASN’s confirmation. **Pending the homologation of the circuit. ***Subject to homologation of the circuit prior to 31 December 2006. In mei staat Valencia dus al op de kalender maar wel met enig voorbehoud. Wellicht dat Zandvoort die plek overneemt? Een extra race is onwaarschijnlijk gezien de verplaatsing overzee vanuit Mexico en de volgende race in Pau die slechts 2 weken later is. Heeft Ricks Winkelman connecties bij de FIA?

Wat betreft Zandvoort eind dit jaar zal er gekeken worden of er exstra
geluidsdagen bijkomen, aanvraag liep al een tijdje (al heel lang) Geloof dat ze voor de A1 een soort ontheffing hadden.

Zandvoort word nu genoemd ipv Puebla toch niet goed bevallen
dat mickey mouse baantje en de probleem met het asfalt.

In tegenstelling tot eerdere berichten over Alfa met misschien wel 6 wagens voor 2007 (waarvan 2 diesels) hoeven we volgens Lotti op niet meer dan 2 benzine wagens te rekenen. Wellicht dat op het einde van het seizoen deze situatie kan veranderen. E.e.a. uit de Autosport van deze week.
