Thompson maakt volgens mij ook kans bij Alfa.

Ik meende dat Thompson al getekend had, omdat hij tijdens de laatste race van het BTCC in Donington zei dat hij volgend jaar niet meer voor Vauxhall zal rijden. Zoiets zeg je neem ik aan niet als je nog geen stoeltje hebt voor volgend jaar.

Hij rijdt inderdaad niet voor Vauxhall in 2005 (contract liep af?), echter wat hij wel gaat doen is volgens mij nog niet bekend. Omdat hij dit seizoen al enkele races voor Alfa in het ETCC heeft gereden is de link met Alfa snel gelegd.

According to Autosport 11-11-04

Nicola Larini is een van de beoogde kandidaten voor een zitje in een van de Chevrolets. Andere optie voor Larini is JAS Motorsport met hun "privateer Honda's"

Laurent Aillo schijnt niet meer in de kijker te staan voor een zitje bij Chevy.

Ik krijg de indruk dat de rol van Larini bij JAS enkel als tester is.

De première van de Chevrolet Nubira WTCC zal plaatsvinden op de Belgian Motor Show in Luik. Geen Grensland Racing Show meer, Race&Rally is verplaatst naar het hoge noorden..........dan maar naar Luttich

Zou het raar vinden dat Honda JAS zo maar zou laten vallen. Langs de andere kant speelt de overname van een deel van BAR en eigenlijk het uitkopen van Prodrive bij BAR zich op het hoogste niveau af. Ook niet vergeten dat Prodrive drie jaar ofzo voor Honda heeft gewerkt in BTCC en de Accords destijds bouwde.

In ieder geval, Honda er terug bij vind ik niet erg

Er gaan sterke geruchten dat het derde zitje naar Rob Huff zou gaan. Die reed dit jaar al voor RML in het BTCC.

Om BTCC kampioen te worden, moet Seat volgend jaar eigenlijk een 3de wagen inzetten. Seat Sport UK heeft al laten vallen dat ze Huff hiervoor zouden willen gebruiken.

Maar het persbericht van Chevrolet geeft een duidelijk hit:

Huff voldoet volledig aan de beschrijving en heeft inderdaad een goede band met RML.
