Dat schoot me nog te binnen ja, dat heb ik niet gechecked. Maar het lijkt me niet dat het toen anders was dan nu, en ook liggen de tijden van Collard en Malucelli vrij dicht bij de snelste tijden van toen (wat aangeeft dat ze de auto toch behoorlijk de sporen hebben gegeven). Enig idee waar ik de layout van toen kan vinden?

Vraag me af waarom de meesten zo negatief staan t.o.v. de eerste race in Silverstone. Ok, het was geen geen vetpot qua deelnemende wagens maar het was pas race 1.
Veel van die wagens hebben de laatste 10 jaar stilgestaan. Probeer dat maar eens op zo'n korte tijd weer aan het rijden te krijgen. Veel onderdelen liggen niet 1,2,3 in het magazijn van de lokale race-onderdelen leverancier. Daarnaast zijn het liefhebbers en amateurs die met de wagens rijden. Heel wat factoren dus waarom het veld aan de kleine kant was en de tijden niet supersnel. De oude tijden van de BPR kan en mag je niet verwachten van deze serie. Gewoon een stukje nostalgie, leuk om naar te kijken. Net zoiets als de revival van de group C / GTP. Dat heeft ook meerdere jaren geduurd voordat daar een lekker veld te zien was.

Ben het met Mark eens, ik zie zeker nog wel wat moois gebeuren met deze serie. Gelukkig zijn er nog genoeg mensen die hun 'oldtimer' ook graag in actie zien, en hem niet alleen gebruiken om naar te kijken.

Seizoen 2007 is minder positief verlopen dan verwacht, uiteindelijk maar 2 wedstrijden. Het was het eerste jaar van deze revival-klasse maar om eerlijk te zijn is het nog geen vetpot in 2008.
De site is hopeloos out-dated: http://www.gt90s-revival.com/ Kalender 2008 staat er nog niet op, wel een voorlopige ............en we zijn al bezig aan het tweede weekend. Geen uitslag van ronde 1, deelnemers aan de Jim Clark Revival zijn er niet te vinden. We gaan het nog maar eens proberen. Vraag me alleen af waarom het nu wel een succes gaat worden.
