Nu hebben we al veel gehoord en gelezen over wat Kumpen/Longin zouden doen in 2008 m.b.t. het Belcar Original kampioenschap. Een Ferrari 430 GT3 voor Kumpen en Longin, een Mosler voor Kumpen samen met Heyer, ... En wat lezen we vandaag op www.turbomagazine.be , in het artikel van de hand van Vincent Franssen :

L'un de nos célèbres quotidiens l'a annoncé ce matin, Anthony Kumpen et Bert Longin disputeront le Belcar 2008 au volant d'une... Mosler MT900R GT3 de l'équipe Gravity International. Voiture de pointe en fin de saison dernière, la belle américaine a donc séduit les multiples champions de la discipline, qui avaient annoncé il y a peu que l'équipe PK Carsport se chargerait uniquement de la préparation de la Saleen S7R FIA-GT cette année. A la recherche d'un team pour les accueillir en Belgique, Kumpen et Longin ont donc misé sur Motorsport International, qui assure l'intendance et la gestion des voitures de Gravity Racing.

De betrouwbaarheid van de journalist in acht nemende hecht ik persoonlijk het meeste belang aan dit laatste 'nieuwsje'. Enfin, 'nieuwsje'... voor zover het nog een nieuwsje is, want er wordt al weken over heen-en-weer gepraat...

Na PK Carsport zullen we ook Prospeed Competition niet zien in de Belcar, buiten de 24 uren van Zolder. Het Team gaat zich volledig richten op de FIA GT.

A+ Racing komt zeker met 2 Vipers! Wie de piloten op de andere Viper worden, zal nog even afwachten zijn. De onderhandelingen zijn volop aan de gang. Het worden alvast niet de dames.

Olivier Van Oost met Powercars Racing in div 2
Powercars Racing gaat met Olivier Van Oost naar divisie 2 met de ex-NGT kampioenen-Porsche 996 GT3 Cup. Een snelle partner voor Olivier blijft nog aan te duiden.

Damien Coens en Fred 'Bull' Bouvy komen aan de start met een Ferrari die ingezet wordt door Waterloo Motors.

Ook bestaat er de kans dat we een tweede Ferrari aan de start zien verschijnen. Men spreekt over een Ferrari uit West-Vlaanderen. Spreken we hier over de Thiers broeders?

Wagen staat in de bingoal kleuren en zal ingezet worden door een Antwerps teams...
