Is inmiddels al weer verwijdert op FIA WTCC site. Onduidelijk waarom, maar ze hadden afgelopen week ook al een misser met de entrylist die te vroeg vrijgegeven werd.

Het bericht staat ondertussen terug op de site.

3 officiële Seat Sport auto's, 2 Seat Sport Holland Cupra's, 1 van Seat Team Spain voor Balzan en dan nog Plato die drie meetings meedoet: 7 Seats dan

die naam komt me heel bekend voor, ik denk zelfs van italiaanse fun cup, dat zou toch een ferme stap voorwaarts zijn of ben ik hier dingen door mekaar aan het slaan?

Volgens mij is er niet zoveel Hollands aan dit team. Ik heb in de persberichten nergens gelezen dat het team officieel ondersteunt wordt door Seat Nederland/Pon (als dit wel is moeten ze dan niet uitkomen als fabrieksteam?). Op de entrylist (zie www.fiawtcc.com) staat het team gewoon ingeschreven als GR Asia.

Geen Belgische BMW voor Kurt Mollekens in 2005. Ze kregen het budget niet rond, BMW België gaat wel verder met Maxime Soulet in de F BMW in de VS.

Met betrekking tot het Chinese Brilliance..........geen races in 2005, alleen wat testwerk in de tweede helft van het jaar. Ook het beoogde model is veranderd, de M2 i.p.v. de M1, waar ze mee willen gaan racen in 2006

Official track testing will now commence within the next few weeks, marking the start of a fine-tuning process which should see the car making its debut before the end of the current season. Such rapid progress has been made possible by the ambitious work schedule begun by SEAT Sport a few months ago, involving 140 of the company's own personnel, R&D specialists from the SEAT Technical Centre and engineers from Audi Sport, who provided invaluable support when it came to streamlining the new model's aerodynamics in its wind tunnel. This co-operation with the German engineers will in future be extended to engine development.

Mooie wagen, maar spijtig dat het een hatchback is; dus geen "echte" toeringwagen en aerodynamisch een nadeel. Seat heeft echter geen saloon wagen meer waarmee ze kunnen racen: Altea is monovolume en Toledo is een specialeke (in elk geval geen saloon).
