Ho-Pin Tung probeert een zitje te versieren voor de 500 miles van Indianapolis. Hij zou een wagen van Dragon Racing besturen.

In 2012 gaat ook de IndyCar naar China, op 19 augustus zal er gereden worden op een stratencircuit in Qindao. De wedstrijd in Japan komt weg te vallen.
