Wat me wel niet zo zint zijn die 4 deuren van die Lexus...
Bestaat er echt geen beter geschikt model voor de basis van een GT2

Juist...de quote is uit 2005, maar ook die prognose van Sebring. De datum is zelfs de Sebring editie 2006 en toen reden er inderdaad nog BMW M3s mee...

In elk geval, wagen met 4 deuren mogen toch enkel deelnemen in ALMS GT2S klasse. Dus niet in FIA GT, LMS, Le Mans, etc. Ik betwijfel trouwens of die GT2S klasse nog altijd bestaat. Dat is speciaal ingevoerd voor de oude BMW M3. De nieuwe BMW M3 GT2 zal een volwaardige GT2 zijn, met 2 deuren dus.

Ik zou liever hebben dat Toyota een LMP1 bouwt. Waar Honda gaat (Acura) volgt Toyota normaalgezien ook...

Het kan verkeren. Tot 2 jaar geleden was GT2 een Porsche Cup met een enkele Ferrari 360, Spyker of Panoz. Inmiddels wordt GT2 bijna gedomineerd door de Ferrari 430 en doen dit seizoen Aston Martin en Corvette hun intrede. En nu dan de terugkeer van de prachtige M3.

Alweer zo'n mooie wagen. GT2 zou haast nog wat op GT3 gaan lijken, maar dan met veel stoerdere auto's!

Mag ik langs deze weg even bij BMW aandringen op de inzet van de nieuwe M3 in Europese races? Neem een voorbeeld aan Porsche en maak het debuut in de 24 uur van Spa. You know you want to!

Als ik de reacties op dit forum zo doorlees omtrent deze wagen van BMW dan zit een aardig gedeelte van de goe-gemeente met een stijve pl.... achter het scherm. En waarom niet? Dit is simpelweg af en komt aardig dicht in de buurt van het begrip perfektie

Ik hoop dat je bedoelt qua aantal, want ik verkies GT2 duizend maal boven GT3. GT2 wagens zijn volgens een technische reglement gebouwd en de beste wagen wint. Bij GT3 doe je maar wat en FIA zorgt er wel voor dat je wagen even snel als de rest gaat

Geloof jij dat echt? Ratel's credo blijft ook in GT2 dat ze allemaal evenwaardig moeten zijn hoor.
