Hedenmorgen in mijn mailbox: "Belcar Short News 3"

Een samenvatting van de nieuwtjes t.o.v. de feiten zoals we die hier al kennen of denken te weten

Belgium Racing / Ultima => Empsen/Verhoeven en Derdaele (wagen hadden we al, bij deze de rijders)
Belgium Racing / BMW E36 M3 - Burrick/De Coster (wagen en rijders nieuw)
G&A / BMW Z3 - Lumbeek (Geruchten deden al de ronde op De Paddock omtrent deze ex-Beliën Z3)

In de categorie "Budget Hunt"
Fiona Leggate and an other lovely lady die van plan zijn om seizoen Belcar te rijden.

Bij de Guests hadden we al de PSI Porsche 996 GT3-RSR van Beltoise, zijn collega's zijn Simon Harrison (is dat die ex-BTCC gast ?) en Damien Coens.

Kleine rechtzetting:
Belgium Racing met Broodcooren/De Coster op BMW E36.
De Coster moet een paar maal forfait geven wegens optredens en zal worden vervangen door Bürrick en/of Theuws

We hebben er wederom eentje gevonden in de categorie "Work in Progress / Budget Hunt"

Rene Snel, afkomstig uit de Dutch Supercar Challenge, wil naast de sprintjes in de Nederlandse Porsche Cup ook wat endurance werk in de armen krijgen. In het blad Start maakt hij melding dat hij een keuze aan het maken is tussen Langstreckenpokal en Belcar. Een 24 uurs-race staat ook op het wensenlijstje............

Pitstop.tv meldt dat Patrick Schreurs dit jaar zal aantreden voor AD Sport. Hij zal het hele seizoen rijden op een Porsche 996 Bi-turbo samen met Albert Vanierschot, exclusief de 24uren van Zolder. Deze zal hij gaan betwisten met de Wauters-broeders.

Zowel hier op De Paddock als op andere sites lezen we het nieuws van MRS Team Leuven en de Vertigo. We zullen ze dan maar doorzetten van "Budget Hunt" naar "GTB".

Weer een deelnemer die terug is van weggeweest...

ERG Motorsport met ex-Euser Marcos LM600 in Belcar
19:12 03-03-2005

ERG Motorsport, het team van cupspecialist Erik Groes, heeft de Marcos LM 600 van Vilain gekocht en komt dit seizoen met het monster aan de start in de Belcar. Max Weisenburger en de Fin Risto Virtanen zijn de rijders op de ERG-Marcos.

Tevens staat op de site van MSE dat de BMW M3 deelneemt met
Peter Beckers & Serge Cassiers als coureurs op deze wagen...(Via kalender 2005--> wordt er doorverwezen naar Ford Mondeo & BMW M3, bij de Ford zijn er op de site zelf nog geen piloten bekend, maar bij de BMW wel...)

Speedlover neemt tevens deel met de Porsche Boxster. Piloten voorlopig nog onbekend...
Er rest mij alleen onduidelijkheid over het volgende stukje tekst: 'Xero Competition van Dave Beecroft, die vorig seizoen met de Corvette C5 (Cole/Le Bas) enkele keren aan de slag was in de Mediagroup Van Dyck Belcar. Beecroft wil nu het volledige kampioenschap aansnijden en zoekt nog piloten om de tweede Corvette C5 te bemannen.'
Betekent dit omdat er namelijk 2e Corvette C5 staat dat zij al meedoen met 1 auto?
Volgens de schrijver van het artikel wel...

Nee, die 2de C5 hadden ze tijdens de laatste meeting ook al bij. Ze hadde toen de donderdagtrainingen afgewerkt met de blauwe C5. Deze willen ze nu inzetten in de Belcar 2005.

Dus een korte samenvatting uit Belcar Short News 4

*Speedlover met 4 wagens i.p.v. 2 zoals we dat al wisten. Niet missen, zelfs aparte Boxster is er weer bij. Is dat de ex-AD wagen?
*Markant met 3 wagens ipv 2
*Xero, een volledig seizoen met de C5. Zoektocht voor de tweede C5 duurt voort.
