Rydell test voor Opel

Rickard Rydell completed a test for the DTM Opel team at the Italian track Vallelunga. Rydell drove 45 laps in a 2002 spec' Opel Astra. "The test went really great," said Rickard. "Opel have tested many drivers but I guess the team is happy with my test. For the development they have taken forth a programme where you get to drive both on new tires and a half race distance which simulates the part of the race until the pitstop you have in the DTM."

"For next year I am looking at remaining with Volvo, driving DTM with Opel or racing in the BTCC. The possibility to win the championship exists in all of the three opportunities."

Ik dacht hij nooit bij Volvo zou weggaan... Hij zou ook gegeerd zijn door Honda om met hen de BTCC te rijden volgend jaar. Ik vind het gewoon een bangelijke piloot!
