Kijk, dan wordt het opeens een stuk logischer dat een team of fabrikant in contact komt met HPE voor het nodige consulting werk. Of je een verband mag leggen tussen het allereerste bericht en het bericht in de Autosport weet ik niet maar het klinkt wel logisch

Goed lezen dat artikel. Het is niet zo dat Toyota nu niet mee kan doen. Maar de motor die ze zouden moeten ontwikkelen daarvoor zou gebasseerd zijn op oudere technologie. in NASCAR gebruiken ze nog steeds een carburator. Hoeveel raceautos hebbend at vandaag de dag nog? Het aanpassen van de motoren zou ook gedaan worden omdat ze dan het octaangehalte van de benzine kunnen laten zakken. Nu gebruiken ze benzine van 108 octaan.

interessant artikel dat. NAcar gebruikt V8's, F1 gaat V8's gebruiken. Zit inderdaad wel een logische link in. Maar of dodge nu F1 gaat rijden, dat denk ik toch niet, daimlerchrysler is al vertegenwoordigd.

mààr: Dodge is amerikaans... met een amerikaans merk (en eventueel amerikaanse piloot) zou de F1 al een stuk populairder worden ginderachter....

Ford was toch ook amerikaans. En dat hielp ook niet veel.

Dat heb ik ook gedaan Toyota kan zeer zeker meedoen in Nascar ............maar er schijnt ook nog zoiets te zijn als een onofficiële ballotage-commissie binnen Nascar-land Denk aan de connectie Nascar / France en IRL / George. Als Toyota de IRL gaat verlaten dan klapt de boel daar in elkaar (GM / Chevrolet gaat weg einde 2004), Honda zal niet tegen zichzelf racen.

Op Jayski is al vaker de termijn van 3 jaar gevallen ivm met "Nascar New Style" .........op die termijn kan men alternatieven/oplossingen vinden voor de IRL en kan Toyota langzaam richting Nascar gaan.

Die gasten van Toyota schijnen wat goeds te hebben ontwikkeld, iets waar GM en Ford achteraan hobbelen. I.p.v. 2007 kan de nieuwe motor nu weleens in 2009/2010 debuteren. Tja onze vertrouwde huis-rednecks moeten natuurlijk wel de tijd hebben om de nieuwe motor van Toyota te matchen. Toch schijnt bij Toyota de zin in een Nascar avontuur over te zijn, het gevaar komt nu van Honda.

Trouwens binnen Nascar kringen zijn ze hard op zoek naar een soort Danica Patrick. De France-familie is toch wel geschrokken van kijcijfer-kanon Patrick.

ik las net op een Duits forum dat de duitser Ronald Rehfeld zijn Amerikaans debuut heeft gemaakt tijdens een ARCA race , op de Milwaukee monster mile
Hij is tijdens deze race verdienstelijk 13 geworden
Het schijnt dat hij in een DODGE program zit ,en dat zijn doel dit jaar nog is om in de NASCAR TRUCKSERIE te gaan rijden .
DODGE is dat niet hetzelfde als MERCEDES en is dat geen DUITS merk ?
Je moet in deze wereld dus toch als een DUITSER geboren zijn
