Een regelrechte farce, het debuut van de Meganes op het circuit. Wagens die spontaan stilvallen en na enkele seconden via een reset weer in gang schieten. De races waren nou niet bepaald promotie van de autosport voor de tienduizenden bezoekers op het circuit. Meer geel en rood dan wat anders.............

De megane race vandaag vond ik echt wel een domper op het weekend. ik vind die meganes echt knappe en spectaculaire wagens enzo, maar zoveel uitvallers, dat is echt geen goede reclame. Maar goed dat deze races niet meetellen, want de wagens hebben precies toch nog wat testwerk nodig. De reactie en het gevloek van het publiek toen Van Hooydonk zich in de safetycar-procedure opeens aan de kant zette in de chicane vond ik dan ook terecht.

Zojuist de beelden gezien van de race op zondag. Die Cup ziet er toch gelikt uit, kinderziektes weg en we hebben een topper in huis. Jan Heylen was vandaag te gast in RTL's Autosport. Op beelden was duidelijk te zien dat de crash van Heylen op zondag volledig te wijten was aan de Fransman Badey. Jan was vanaf het moment dat de Fransoos een kus ging uitdelen een passagier van zijn eigen wagen.
Wat wel zeer duidelijk te zien was dat op het moment dat Badey de wagen aantikte van Heylen dat het vuur in de pan sloeg. Zo'n heftige tik was het niet en dan meteen fik aan boord. Oei, dat zal toch geen "design-flaw" van Renault zijn?  Overigens was het commentaar niet helemaal super, volgens de commentator reden er twee wagens mee van Racing for Belgium. Het waren er toch echt drie. Racing for Belgium is ook een beetje Racing for Holland  De mannen van REVS Motorsport (bekend van het Cable1 Alfa 147 team) verzorgen de "tuning" van de wagens van Coekelberghs en consorten.

@ Mark: als de commentator dat op zondag zei dat Racing for Belgium twee wagens had meerijden klopte dat wel. De nummer 12 van RfB bleef echter voor de tweede race aan de kant, of heb ik 't fout.
