Nieuwe Epsilon Euskadi LMP1 voor 2007
Dat het Spaanse (of Baskische?) Epsilon Euskadi team van Joan Villadelprat bezig is met het ontwerpen van een LMP1 is geen nieuws. Een tijd geleden hebben ze al een kleine grafische impressie op hun website gezet. Nu hebben ze 2 nieuwe grafische impressies online gezet:

De wagen wordt ontworpen door voormalig Lola en Penske ontwerper John Travis en heeft een Judd GV5 motor met Pankl versnellingsbak.

Hier meer info (in het Spaans) over het project.

De naam Pankl is nieuw voor mij, maar ik heb inmiddels van het Ten-Tenths forum begrepen dat ze vorig seizoen ook verantwoordelijk waren voor de versnellingsbak in de Lucchini LMP2...

De neus lijkt verdomd sterk op die van de Toyota GT One.....en daar heb ik niets op tegen.

Neus lijkt ook wel een beetje op de bentley van 2002 (of 2001) weet niet precies maar iig een pracht wagen. Misschien de achterkant nog wat mooier maken maar ik ben echt benieuwd naar de echte wagen.

Back to the future: Bentley Speed 8 voor de 2e keer hopelijk. Ik vind dit toch veel mooier dan die nieuwe R-10 van Audi (die Le Mans gaat winnen dit jaar). Laten we hopen...

ik ben eigenlijk niet zo zeker dat Audi Le Mans zal winnen... ze hebben toch wat problemen gekend in Sebring, en de winnende R10 is gecrasht in tests na de race

Over die Epsilon, ziet er mooi uit. Maar de Audi R10 zag er ook mooi uit maar...

Mijn mening over de R10: als ze het niet beter gaan doen als in Sebring dan winnen ze ZEKER EN VAST NIET. Want in Sebring hebben de beide R10's niet probleemloos kunnen rijden, en is de winnende R10 maar met 2 ronden voor op de tweede geindigd. Wel te verstaan dat de LMP1 wagens in Le Mans veeeeel beter zullen rijden als de Lola LMP2 die in Sebring tweede is geworden. Dus ik hoop voor Audi dat ze in Le Mans beter zullen presteren, en nu zeker met 24uren racen tegenover die 12uuren Sebring. ...

Gesloten LMP1 wagens (voorheen bekend als GTP) worden weer populairder. Naast Epsilon schijnt de Peugeot ook een coupe te zijn. Daarnaast overweegt ook het Japanse Dome een coupe.

lijkt me gebasseerd op de huidige LMP1 dome dus misschien dat RFH er ooit mee rijd
