The low-down on BMW's 2002 engine - the P82 - that will power the Williams FW24 unveiled today [Friday 25 January] at the WilliamsF1 launch - Silverstone, England.

Displacement: 2,998 cc

Cylinders: four valves per cylinder

Valve drive: pneumatic

Engine block: aluminium

Cylinder head: aluminium

Crankshaft: steel

Oil system: dry sump lubrication
