Dit jaar mag de Maserati MC12 ook deelnemen aan Le Mans, voor de show hebben ze daar een stuk of vijftig van gemaakt enkele jaren terug. Nadat eerst de raceversie er was. Die truuk kunnen de Japanners uiteraard ook toepassen
