Petersen/White Lightning met SMG buggy naar Dakar:

Petersen/White Lightning Racing has announced a multi-year agreement to compete in the Dakar Rally. After winning all the world’s major motorsport endurance races including the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le mans and Petit Le Mans as well as the Baja 500 and Baja 1,000, the only other race to win is the Dakar.
The team will campaign a Team SMG-prepared entry in the 15-day journey across two continents in early January. Petersen/White Lightning is eyeing a full, in-house program for 2008 with an option for 2009. Team owner Michael Petersen, who is an accomplished off-road driver, will drive the T1.1 class buggy while Dale White will manage and drive one of the two chase vehicles.
