FIA ETCC regulars Rickard Rydell and Jordi Gené, and Alain Menu who was signed by Chevrolet for its 2005 FIA WTCC campaign, will face each other this weekend in the 200 Km of Buenos Aires, valid as 12th round of the Argentine TC2000 championship
Rydell, who gave SEAT its first FIA ETCC victory this year in Oschersleben, will share a Honda Civic entered by the Honda Racing Petrobras team with former Argentine touring car champion Juan Manuel Silva, who is currently second in the points.
As for Rydell’s SEAT Sport team-mate Gené, he will share a Volkswagen Polo with former F1 star Esteban Tuero.
Current TC2000 leader Christian Ledesma, who has a solid 48-point margin, will be joined by Menu in his Chevrolet Astra run by the Chevrolet Pro Racing team. This will be Menu’s first race for Chevrolet, in view of the 2005 FIA WTCC
